How to learn the art of deduction PART-1
How to learn science of deduction ?
Now
lets divide this science into two parts
1)Observation
2)Deduction (or) Reverse Engineering
1)Observation
2)Deduction (or) Reverse Engineering
You
could start off by training your self to observe more details and remember them
(having an eidetic should make this fairly easy).
One of the ways you can do this is shown in the tv series Elementary(though not as awesome as BBC's Sherlock still good enough) . Holmes in this series tries to concentrate on seven different conversations from different television sets and then reciting them in the order the sets are laid out.You must note not to discard any simple observation while doing so(say the color of the tie the news reader on set 3 was wearing etc.)Since one would not have that many TV's in his house, you could do this in a simpler way by listening to the conversations of different people at a bar(unlikely considering your age) or a hotel or a cafe. Other practice scenarios can be , observing the placement of different things in your room, observing different people who come visit a bar or a mall etc. Kim's game(Kim's Game) is also a good practice.

This is what I do:
1. I observe everything.
2. From what I observe, I deduce everything.
3. When I've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how mad it might seem, must be the truth.

So the first step in developing your Sherlock-like deduction
skills is to work on observing more. Take time to look for things you wouldn't
normally look for and try to make a simple deduction from them.
